Slight Miscalculation


How long and how far would you knit before accepting that it really isn't going to flatten out, even with blocking?

Oh, I'd definitely go a few more inches. But I'm not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

It would be OK for a sock. If that's a shawl... uh... maybe work an inch or two more, then see. If the yarn is relatively thin, there might be more drape than boil. If not, it's best to rip before you waste too much time, then get back to it with bigger needles and looser knitting.

I am really sorry, but I've been keeping this blog post up so I can laugh some more. Look on the bright side, you have a perfect nose warmer right there. Stop now.

As for purling every other row, I don't want curly hair or dimples. Those attributes are for wimps.
