Here is some knitting

But first, 2 kitty pics. I still haven't gotten a great picture of either of them, but I am improving.

These are the Sockapalooza socks for my sockpal whose name I can't mention, of course. I'm pretty sure she doesn't tune in here, but I'm not taking any chances. There is some doubt as to whether the socks will be too tight. The pal has very small feet--8" long and 8" around. Therefore, I can't really try them on with any accuracy. The one on the right is done except for the ceremonial weaving in of the ends. I can get it on, so things should be ok. The pattern is Wyvern Woman's Socks by Marnie MacLean. The yarn is Collinette Jitterbug in the color inaptly called Fire.

There's a triathlon on on the TV right now. My god, it's boring! Lots of water, little tiny arms and bathing caps.

The last bit of knitting here is a vest out of some yarn by Tahki called Java. It's got big lumps of roving about every 18 inches or so. I didn't like them because they looked like dust bunnies, so I'm taking them out as I knit. This picture is the back of the vest. The back is approximately 2/3 finished. I'm using a pattern in the current "Knitter's" magazine. This after several tries on other patterns. I'm using my Boye Interchangeable needles in size 9. I swapped some dark brown Silky Wool for them.
